He frequently observes with the Hubble Space Telescope, researching the structure and evolution of novae and supernovae, collisions between stars and the remnants of these collisions, and the populations of stars inhabiting star clusters and galaxies. Together, the guests explore the contributions that the Hubble Space Telescope has made to modern science, make predictions for human travel to Mars, and speculate on the future of space exploration.
