What do Toy Story, Carlos Santana, cloned sheep, jazz and Tiger Woods have in common? All broke new ground during the 1990s, a decade full of major technological advances, exciting milestones for women and minority leaders in their fields…and coffee-flavored Pepsi, which was just plain gross.

From joyful moments (the first recorded birth of a surviving set of septuplets) to sobering events (the Oklahoma City bombings), the ’90s were a decade of firsts, a turbulent stretch of time marked by many triumphs.
