Mireya, I am watching Nat Geo Wild, "Saved From The Spill". I am seeing a great deal of infrastructure that belongs to the People of the United States and is paid for by the Taxpayer being used to to clean up and recover from the B.P Oil Spill. B.P. has promised to be responsible for the economic impact of this spill. My quesion is, WHAT, if ANYTHING, is being done by B.P. to reimburse the United States Fish and Wildlife and other TAXPAYER supported government agencies? Sincerely, Juanron

Mireya, What do you suppose the cost per bird rescued might be, given the hours spent by power boats and their crews on the water, the numerous salaried personal involved, and the overhead to operate the infrastructure, not to mention the infrastructure itself being devoted totally to this problem? WHAT if ANYTHING is B.P. Oil doing to reimburse the TAXPAYER for the cost of their spill? Sincerely, Juanron

Mireya, As you mention in your third blog, the food chain from bottom to top has become poisoned by this spill. How is it that the authorities seem to think that treating a few oiled bird and turtles at a tremendous expense is doing anything more than putting a band aid on a severed artery? WHAT, if ANYTHING, is B.P. Oil doing to restore and pay for the damage, and pay for the economic cost to HUMAN BEINGS AND THEIR LIVELIHOODS? Sincerely, Juanron
