Last night on Life Below Zero, winter preparations were in full swing as the changing seasons bring the tough transition from fall to winter. In Eagle, Andy set off to find elusive moose, as he and Kate need to replenish their red meat supply for the coming winter. In Kavik, Sue sealed up camp to head to Fairbanks for a foot procedure. Meanwhile, the Hailstones teach their daughters to ice fish while Tiktaalik—a local word for burbot—is in season. And in Chandalar, Glenn tends to some much-needed cabin repairs before the harsh winter hits.
With so much activity to cover, keeping up with the arctic inhabitants is no small feat. On the latest installment of Life Below Zero: Behind the Scenes, the camera team ventures out on a frozen lake to film ice fishing in Chandalar. Then, a snowmobile pulling a cameraman runs into trouble while trying to keep up with Andy and his dog team.
