Mick Dodge is Back! The Legend Returns Tonight

The man. The Mick. The legend. After entertaining audiences with his quirky lifestyle last winter, Mick Dodge returns to National Geographic Channel tonight at 9P for an all-new season of The Legend of Mick Dodge. We’re heading back into the Pacific Northwest’s beautiful and serene Hoh Rainforest to follow the everyday life of an eccentric character whose unique brand of Zen comes from living off the land.

This season, spring is in the air and adventures are on the horizon as our legendary wild man is finally able to reconnect with his fellow forest dwellers after a long winter. With friends like Sunray, Moss Hopper, and Will of Stone, Dodge’s world is populated by a unique breed of outdoorsmen who also live life on their own terms.

Dodge finds himself in the center of the action as the return of springtime has awakened the moss-covered world of Washington state. As the warmer weather brings the wildlife of the Hoh Rainforest out of hibernation, Dodge and friends gear up for the new activities that come along with the changing season. Whether he is harvesting seasonal berries to brew a fresh batch of the Dodge Family Forest Wine or drinking maple sap straight out of a tree, Dodge finds adventure every day in the wild.

Nicknamed “the Forrest Gump of Middle Earth,” “Tree Beard,” “the Barefoot Sensei,” “the Hobbit” and “Big Foot,” Dodge lives life by his own unique philosophy. Influenced by three generations of woodsmen before him, Dodge listened to his ingrained primal instinct and ventured deep into the Hoh Rainforest, dedicating his life to the nature around him … while “dodging” modern civilization and the distractions that come with it. While he still occasionally dips back into society, his real passion in life is running through the wilderness, living life one barefoot step at a time.

As Dodge would say, “take off them shoes and see if you can keep up,” with an all new season of The Legend of Mick Dodge.

Don’t miss The Legend of Mick Dodge: The Legend Returns Tuesday, Sept. 30, 9 PM ET/PT

Just watched Mick in “Call to arms”. Mick and Moss Hopper are trying to disrupt some elk hunters hunt. Most outdoors people know the call of a bull elk. All that were in this herd that they scared off were cows but I repeatedly heard ” bugling”- the call of the bull elk. The cow elk herd in this episode looked to be farm-raised as the guys walked very close to them before they moved away. Anti-hunters might see this show as reality but anyone with any outdoorsman mentality know that this is a crude attempt to belittle hunters .

Also, the fish was fucking raw that you called smoked. Quit filling people full of bullshit that don’t know any better. You want a fucking story ? How about making a story about people that actually bust their ass for a living ? Probably not good for the ratings if you showed some thruth.Pull your fucking heads out assholes !!! You want to hear more ? My name is Randy Cripe.

This is the biggest sham Nat geo has pulled off as of this date. This guy no more “lives n the woods” than does Santa Claus.
He is a loser and couldn’t cut it in the real world.
Also, Nat Geo and their crew along with “Mick” have broken
several game laws during the series.
The land he “claims to live on is mostly privately owned and he ist tresspassing on almost every episode. and the show with him “fighing the evil tresspassers” should be focussing on him.

Nat Geo and it’s many shows has taken it to a low with this show. After reading about him, and I figured there wasn’t much real about him being Mr. Natural, it seems that MONEY and viewership is the driving force behind TV like this. Is Mick maybe an old Hippie? I think so…..he is genuinely a nice guy and has quite a schtick, but come on folks! This is bad Television!

Please cancel this show. It is an insult to everyone’s intelligence. This man abandoned a wife and children, so he could runaway from his responsibilities and pretend to be something he is not. Your are promoting a business that he is involved with that takes money to teach people to play with sticks and stones.

June 2015…On vacation to the Hoh Rain Forest and actually met Mick Dodge when we were on a trail. Were we surprised! My husband held out his hand and said “Mr. Mick Dodge” and he shook his hand and asked our name. First my husband and then turned to me and asked my name and shook my hand. He was barefoot and said he would take a picture with us, but we had to take off our shoes (his one condition). So what did we do? We took off our shoes and he graciously took a picture with both of us. He is a very nice man with a funny wit just like the show. It was a pleasure meeting him. I told him how we love his show, but he said it was Nat Geo’s show and there are more shows to come. That was great to hear. He just made our vacation and the pictures came out great! The Hoh National Rain Forest is a beautiful place and so is the Olympic National Park which the rain forest is a part of.
