You may know that the 2nd anniversary of the Curiosity rover reaching Mars occurred a little over a month ago. In fact, for those of us who work here at NGC, we’re treated to a full scale model of the Curiosity rover each day upon entering the building (though recently our new friend Spinosaurus is doing his best to outshine the little guy).
In honor of the anniversary, Jeffrey Marlow, geobiologist, Wired writer, and explorer at the California Institute of Technology, created what he calls a “love letter” to the rover in video form. Complete with an original score by composer Austin Wintory, and narration by none other than Felicia Day and everyone’s favorite astrophysicist and host of our Emmy-winning series Cosmos, Neil deGrasse Tyson, it’s a lovely tribute.
Check it out – and stay curious!
