Dr. Brenda has been a staple at Pol Veterinary services for over 21 years. Starting fresh out of college, she’s been a part of the family ever since. Tonight on The Incredible Dr. Pol, the clinic staff and even some of the long-time clients reminisce about their fondest memories with the also incredible Dr. Brenda.
The first case of the day involves a horse named Lady who’s having trouble putting on the pounds. Dr. Brenda narrows down the cause to an overgrown molar in her top jaw, causing severe discomfort while chewing. She calls upon Dr. Pol to do the dental work. Can this dynamic vet duo fix this troublesome tooth?
Dr. Brenda’s next case is across town and involves a couple of characters. Eccentric twins Joanna and Joan have a horse with a nasty cough and a mysterious swelling in her neck. After the twins answer her questions in unison, Dr. Brenda takes a tissue sample of the mass and races back to the clinic for examination – hoping to solve the mystery of this hoarse horse.
Back at the clinic, Mary is in with a two-month-old runt bunny – the sole survivor of a litter plagued by a deadly infection. After a course of antibiotics, her symptoms continue – something is just not adding up. Can Dr. Brenda find the cure before this bunny suffers the same fate as its siblings?
Next up at the clinic, an Australian shepherd named Little Matt is in with an enormous wound on his belly. His groin area is swollen, causing his skin to stretch and rip apart. Medication is prescribed to encourage the healing process but the wound continues to fester and bleed. Dr. Pol and Dr. Brenda see no other option than to take Little Matt to surgery in another tag team effort, and what they find is a surprise even to these seasoned vets.
After a long, exhausting week, the clinic ladies head out for a night of food, fun and friends as Dr. Brenda, Andrea, and Melissa liven up the place and hit the dance floor; a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of the clinic.
