Showdown Of The Unbeatables GIF Recap: Air Cannon vs. Indestructible Paint

On the first episode of Showdown of the Unbeatables, “indestructible” machines faced off to see which one prevails. The show’s most explosive matchup came when a powerful air cannon matched up against a shock-proof wall, as hosts Brian Unger and Zane Lamprey pitted the inventions against each other for an epic showdown.

The first challenger, the BCB Wallbreaker, is a breaching device that fires water bottles through concrete walls. The Wallbreaker is a powerful method of entry, often used by special forces to break into buildings in hostage situations without using explosives. When it’s fired, the BCB cannon shoots out a standard-sized water cooler bottle at up to 500 pounds of pressure per square inch.

To demonstrate to the hosts the power of the invention, BCB operations director Matthew steps in to show off the Wallbreaker, turning up its pressure to 500 PSI and letting the water bottle fly.

Challenging the Wallbreaker for supremacy is Line-X, a protective coating so strong it can withstand a bomb blast. Line-X comes out in a spray and turns solid in five seconds, used by the Department of Defense to protect the Pentagon and other buildings from potential destruction.

With a combination of strength and flexibility, Line-X can withstand high-impact blasts while allowing walls to flex and stretch. 300% tougher than other coatings in the market, its creators are certain it will defeat the Wallbreaker.

To prove the strength of Line-X, VP of Line-X Business Development Steve drops by to conduct an experiment, coating a watermelon with a light layer of Line-X and letting Zane whack it with a mallet. Without the coating, the watermelon would shatter, but the Line-X renders it indestructible. Poor Zane’s swings don’t even dent the watermelon, no matter how much he yells at it.

Can the Wallbreaker power through a wall painted with Line-X? Or will the protective coating hold? It’s time for Brian and Zane to pit the two inventions against each other and see which prevails.

To make the showdown even more explosive, the hosts place a bomb behind a wall of Line-X. If the Wallbreaker penetrates the wall, it’ll set off a giant explosion.

And when the two inventions finally face off, the winner is clear.

Unfortunately for Line-X, the Wallbreaker sets off the bomb with a decisive victory.

Tune in for more insane matchups in the next all-new Showdown of the Unbeatables Friday at 9P.

I think the challenge was unfair. The wall breaker is for walls notglass . Put line x on a real block wall and it will win every time. Unfair challenge guys..

it was 100% fair, do you think anything would change if they put a block wall? They needed to prove that the wall breaker can penetrate line-x, because it already had proven itself of beating any other obstacle (also the block wall) it wouldn’t matter what you were to coat line-x with

So the wall didn’t stop the ammo.. the way the spray lining held the wall together and shattered a hole only slightly bigger than the ammo itself, in fact, speaks for itself…

The challange was for a wall covered in the stuff, not a window. I agree. The challange was unfair. I want to see it against an actual brick wall covered in the stuff. That would be fair and fun to see.
