Nat Geo Salutes the Filmmakers of AFI FEST

National Geographic and the American Film Institute share in the practice of presenting the world’s most compelling stories. Nat Geo is a proud partner of the AFI, supporting the organization’s efforts to preserve the fine art of storytelling and honor the artists who bring their craft to life.

AFI FEST, taking place in Hollywood from November 7-14, brings the AFI’s mission to life. The longest-running international film festival in Los Angeles, AFI FEST celebrates the best festival films of the year, bringing global cinema greats together in the movie capital of the world to honor both master filmmakers and emerging artists. This year’s festival will screen 83 features and 36 shorts. Committed to making the art of cinema accessible to audiences, AFI FEST is free to the public.

Encompassing 119 films representing 43 countries, the eight-day festival kicks off today, Nov. 7.
