Shane Victorino may be sitting out the final games of this week’s World Series due to a back injury, but he was in full health and fine spirits when he recently visited the Alaska State Troopers. The Red Sox right fielder joined Trooper Hull for a special ride-along – and volunteered to use his base-stealing skills to chase down suspects.
A well-established star in his sport, Victorino sent the Red Sox to their third World Series in ten years with a game-winning grand slam in Game 6 of the ALCS. From spotting and arresting drunks to snapping selfies in the cop car, Victorino fit right into the Trooper lifestyle.
With the Red Sox up 3-1 in the World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals, the “Flyin’ Hawaiian” is well on his way to another championship. But if Victorino is ever interested in chasing moose instead of fly balls – the Troopers are always hiring.
Watch highlights from Victorino’s Trooper ride-along below, and tune in for a new episode of Alaska State Troopers on Sunday at 10P.
