Honey Badger Takes Over Groundhog Day

While today might otherwise be known as Groundhog Day, there is a distant relative of Punxsutawney Phil who thinks he is more deserving of the holiday’s moniker. Honey Badger is sending a message to Phil, Bill Murray, and marmots everywhere by taking over Nat Geo WILD with a full-day marathon of his show, Honey Badgers. And he’s not stopping there, he’s taking his claws to Twitter and claiming the network’s Twitter page too.

He’s even left a little message for our blog readers as well:

It’s Groundhog Honey Badger Day!

While my distant cousin Punxsutawney Phil is busy locating the presence or absence of his shadow, I’ll be stealing food straight from Africa’s most dangerous snake’s mouth, withstanding hundreds of killer bee stings per minute to devour my beloved honey bee larvae, and being awesome and ferocious in general.

Go ahead and turn on Nat Geo WILD to see how I got my tenacious reputation!

as i can tell from the numerous comments on this blog, nobody else is too impressed with this joke either. An entire day of honey badgers? The same show over and over? What the hell were you thinking of? How do your advertizers feel about it? You giving them some of their money back?

Well, Bob, don’t know if you’ve seen much about the honey badger, but if you had, you’d know: Honey Badger don’t care (what you think). Honey Badger doesn’t give a s**t. Go work on your sense of humor, dude.
