Non-Fiction Top Rated Shows Week of 10.22.12

Here we are again, checking on on what’s popular on the non-fiction channels, NGC, Nat Geo Wild, History, Discovery, Animal Planet, Science and Travel.

NGC’s new season of Alaska State Troopers tends to dominate the schedule, but this week a new episode of Taboo: Strange Syndromes was the highest rated. Nat  Geo Wild saw Dog Whisperer take the top spot followed by a random episode of Swamp Men that aired at 1pm on a Saturday.

Discovery premiered its new season of Gold Rush, to no surprise its highest rated show of the week.   While DSC dominates Fridays, Animal Planet goes cute on Saturday with Too Cute running back to back as its highest shows.  That has to be a different audience than Call of the Wildman on Sunday.

Nothing terribly interesting about History – American Restoration and Pawn Stars repeats still doing well, and getting strong numbers for their Men Who Built America mini-series.  Its about the Men Who Built America, I read the description.    Science got in the Halloween spirit with Punkin Chunkin leading the way.  Finally, Travel continues to see ghosts on Friday nights and its new series Airport 24/7 is doing pretty well, although personally I spend as little time as I can in the airport.
