Unexplained UFO phenomena are caught on video every day, but it is rare for two strangers to record the same object at the same time from two separate angles. For that reason, the team is captivated by “the mothership videos” – a pair of recordings that appear to show a large, flying craft dispensing dozens of smaller crafts in the skies above Mexico.

Ryder, Ben and James head south of the border to meet with the two witnesses who filmed this mysterious airborne object. The team first meets with Pedro Hernandez, a Mexico City resident who noticed the craft in the sky while riding the bus. While Pedro can’t explain what he recorded, he feels the object was clearly from another world. The team then meets with Alfredo Carrillo, the other witness who recorded the supposed spacecraft. Alfredo attests that he was shooting a commercial airline when he accidentally discovered the mysterious airship. Like Pedro, Alfredo recalls seeing smaller objects shoot out of the craft and explains to the team that what he saw can’t be from this planet.

In their conversation, Alfredo indicates to the team that he believes the craft may be linked to the local, active volcano Popocatépetl. Ryder, Ben and James wonder what would draw alien life to an active volcano and decide to journey to Popocatépetl to investigate. The team makes it to the peak, but the investigation is cut short when James encounters gunshots and wild dogs. Luckily, Ben is able to collect some samples from the volcano’s ash cloud before the team escapes to safety.

After descending Popocatépetl, the team chooses to follow a new lead — a video shot by the Mexican Air Force that appears to show several UFOs flying over Mexican airspace. Ben and James explain that some skeptics believe the glowing orbs seen in the video are actually oilrigs on the horizon. In order to set the story straight, the team climbs aboard an airplane to recreate the event for themselves.

Ryder, Ben, and James fly to the exact spot where the Mexican Air Force recorded the glowing orbs, but are unable to see the oilrigs on their thermal cameras at that location. It is not until they fly much closer to the objects that the team finally makes visual contact, making Ryder and James highly skeptical of the oilrig theory.

After discussing their findings, the team meets up with famous Mexican journalist/ufologist Jaime Maussan, who unveils the corpse of a small, unidentified creature he believes may be the body of an extraterrestrial. Jaime indicates that this bizarre being was captured outside of Chichen Itza, an area known to have connections to alien life.

Harboring this new knowledge, the team heads to the pyramid of Chichen Itza to perform their final night investigation. Ryder is startled when she hears a voice-like sound at the pyramid’s apex, but the real danger occurs when James and Ryder have a standoff with a puma at the jungle’s edge. Finding little at Chichen Itza, the team returns to Los Angeles to analyze footage and draw conclusions on whether Mexico is truly being visited by extraterrestrials.

“The team finds something lurking deep in the Mexican Jungle”? The show’s episodes are incessantly off-topic for large stretches of time. Stretches of time which could be devoted to the actual topic of UFOs instead of moronic late-night journeys into a dangerous jungle home to predators. Again, this is not a one-off thing, they offered themselves as carnivore bait in Brazil last episode. It’s as if they don’t want to alienate their viewers with “drawn out details of the incident, or boring research and analysis — because the viewers who are interested in this topic, UFOs, can be presumed to have a form of ADD, and will be susceptible to manufactured footage and evidence because the viewers are inherently gullible”. This pretty much outlines the attitude of NatGeo’s towards their audience in this case.

The production as a whole, when not entirely off-topic, suffers from incredible sensationalism. Take this episode for instance, it’s entitled “Alien Baby Farm” and has a picture of a manufactured “alien baby” that still looks to have flesh over its skeleton; and unless the “corpse” was somehow vitrified, it look to be a competent art student’s summer project. Further, the person who supposedly found this “alien baby” would have in his possession extra-terrestrial DNA, long sought after as the holy grail of comparative DNA research, and he would be known by the entire world over night for his discovery… but instead he decides to show people who call themselves “UFO Chasers” along with a man named “Rider” with jaw structure that would rival Hulk Hogan’s.

In closing, I’d like to say: I don’t think so.

Your mexican ufo popping out ships looks mysteriously like a helicopter with parachuters …if you zoom in you can see the rotor movement of the copter.. Debunked with a home computer.

Hey guys. This message is reguarding your episode titled “Alien Baby Farm” shot in Mexico. First off, Great Job! going to Mexico, there is allot of UFO activity in that part of the world. Next time please, please, check your translator’s credentials before you choose one. Most of the things he was “translating” were way off what the eye witnesses were saying. Thanks.

Next time get better translators because the translations where way off! The second Mexican guy didn’t even say anything close to what the translator said. When ryder asked if he thought Mexico was a hotspot for UFO activity. The man said “in Mexico many sightings are filmed and not real so one must be objective when viewing them” The translator says “He believes whenever there natural phenomena such as Volcanic activity that are sightings more than usual.
C’mon I’m really trying to like this show enough camping scenes in the wilderness. Give some more substance!

The Mexican lad says: “in Mexico there are a lot of fake videos, you must be very objective” they translated ” the UFOs may be linked to the volcano” Really?

I have been a NG member for 40 years, really disappointed about the direction it is going.

Oil rig lights was interesting but the only way they lined up was if the tilted any pic they had, down. The only way they lined up put any aircraft at virtual treetop level which was lower than they were. Also thelights are seen traveling through clouds. If not, then the clouds were moving awfully fast!

Any photos I found of Marmosets…you could say they were close but all Marms had longer fangs/canine teeth(?) This specimen did not have them. Also the eyes were a bit different.

Man, I enjoy your show, big fan of Ryder from Destination Truth, Listen the interpreter you guys used in Mexico was way off in his translation, he made the one guy who was pretty skeptical sound like he was a total believer, I mean, if that guy was paid, get your money back. He was making up 50% of the information, both witnesses that recorded the footage seem more unsure of what they saw rather than plainly assume it was alien powered.

Why are you removing construction criticisms of the investigations from this blog? The fact that you are doing so really really hurts the credibility and “true” objectivity of your show. You pretty much have filtered out all of the good UFO believer comments and left the UFO skeptics on this blog. I know because I had a couple up here and now they are gone. There were also others up here from other individuals that are now gone as well. Why? Scared that people might “pull back the curtain” of the show’s lack of true objectivity?

I didn’t even think they played the right episode until I came here and read this. Where was anything at all about an alien baby farm? The marmoset somehow equaled a baby farm? That and some mistranslated Spanish and way too much night vision of them doing absolutely nothing of interest.
Now the National Geographic Channel seems to be going the way the History Channel, Discovery Channel, and TLC have gone before it; to the lowest common denominator.
Oh yeah, when in a jungle at night and a large cat is nearby and stalking you, is it really the best thing to do to run like prey?
I’m thinking that maybe they should have looked at the video and done their analysis of it before wasting their time (and ours!) by going to Mexico to walk around in the dark.

    Hey everybody,

I have made some major discoveries that according to Morgan Freeman could be “world changing”. He subscribes to my channel on YouTube (Discovery 11.26.11 – Rick Kane) where you can see my work. It won’t take long to realize you’re seeing something very, very special!

I would recommend ‘From Creature to Craft’ first and go from there.

    Thanks

While my evidence started out as all types of UFOs and USOs, I would soon be led to an area that allowed me to discover many life forms modern science knows nothing about. I even incorporate myself into photos where you can see creatures posing for me, and even on me! You’ll think I’m insane until you check out my work which shows every aspect of the paranormal world. An ‘Orb Tunnel’ opens all my videos, and you won’t find another like it in the world.

Living in altus, ok an air force base town.At approx. 3:00 am,a friend got stranded in the apartment complex i lived at.So i gave him a ride back to his house,When he started telling me that him and some neighbors have been watching these balls of light for hours.Thought maybe drank a little to much or something. All of a sudden now i’m seeing a bright ball of light move from side to side floating very softly over the main street in town and then it was gone in a instant. So maybe do some investigating in that town or contact me.

I was watching on tv and episode of the Alien baby farm in Mexico aired on March 14. I noticed the interview with the guy that spot an UFO while taking a video of a commercial airplane flying across. His answers were all wrongly translated by the translator on sight. To the point that the translation had nothing to do with what was actually said in Spanish. You should take this kind of things more seriously. The information giving in Spanish by the witness was totally mislead by the translator.
