On this episode of American Gypsies, after setting up shop in Miami, Nicky has decided to pack up his family and head back to New York. He doesn’t trust Bobby to look after his sick father, and he especially doesn’t trust him to run the family. Christine and the kids couldn’t be less thrilled to leave their sunny new home though, and they make sure to let Nicky know every chance they get as they pile into the car and take off down the road.

Back on the east coast, Bobby is at a car auction with Jack, Eric, and son-in-law, John. Bobby’s son, Christopher, has just had a baby, so he’s looking to get him a more family friendly car. Bobby bids on an SUV during the auction, but ultimately loses out once the bids get too high. John tells Bobby that if it’s cash he needs, he has a business opportunity for him— he owns a scrap metal business and offers to show Bobby the ropes. For decades the Johns men have run psychic shops, but after this unsuccessful auction Bobby decides to expand his business empire with an investment in the scrap-yard.

Later that evening, Tina, Eric and his son, Val, go out to dinner. Tina and Eric have decided that Val will look for a wife at Jack and Sylvia’s anniversary party, although the idea is unpopular with Val. On the car ride home Val tells his father that he won’t be forced into marriage, while Eric worries that Val is going to disgrace the family. He tells Val that love is a myth, and that he has to put family first.

At the first scrapyard Bobby learns lesson one: dress the part. His leather jacket and white t-shirt are not ideal for a day of scrapping. But he throws on a pair of gloves and gets to it anyway with John. At the second scrapyard, Bobby expresses his distaste with manual labor. John tells him to just wait, and that it’ll be worth it once they cash out. And it is, they end up leaving with over ten grand. Bobby’s in— as long as John keeps it a secret.

It all comes to a head when Nicky comes back into town and Jack and Sylvia celebrate their 15th anniversary with a traditional Gypsy pakiff where all of their family and friends have gathered together. Will Val succeed in finding a wife? And will Bobby continue with his son-in-law’s scrapping business? Tune in to find out!

    I admire Bobby for trying to do the right thing and make money like a real man. Life is not about skrewing people but providing the right way for there family. They are so concerned about marrying val off to a gypsy even if it means he is unhappy. Stop marrying off these kids for money and not love that is not what tradition is about. Do you people really believe you r the only nationality with traditions? Love ur children. And get a resale job. Nicky is obnoxious an boring when he is on I change the channel. He should not b on the show

    Wow, Nikki is really full of himself. He needs to shut up! I find everything about him to be irritating. Maybe he should spend some time looking at himself instead of monitoring everyone else in the family!

    I love this show. i have always been interested in the gypsie life. yes there ways are sometime odd but you do have to give them some credit on things. Myself and my mother and syater in law all watch this show. we liked how in the gypsie life you cant open the same show within 3 blocks. UMMM hello have we all noticed that either there is a wallgreed, rite aide, or cvs all within one block of eachother. they do have some good rules. cant knock them for showing how such a privet community lives there lives. Love this show, keep it going.

    I find them ignorant for not letting their kids go to school and maybe college. In my country

    In my country USA no one forces children to marry at 16 or 18. Bobby is the only one that might be able to asimilate in the US. His kids need to go to school
    And the cheating on their wives . I have no words to say how stupid they look.
    Their wives should all leave!!!!!!!!!!

    These Gypsies are no different then the Mafia or street gangs except maybe they haven’t killed anyone that we know of.
    They complain that their culture is dying, Know wonder when the children are forced to marry the women sole purpose is Card reading and um healing Yeah right. I think we call it con artist. Bobby’s youngest girl couldn’t even read.

    Nikki NEEDS TO GROW UP! I like Bobby’s take on things. People shouldn’t be “forced” into Marriage. It takes TWO LOVING Parents to raise Kids. It is OK to have some Traditions, but Dinosaurs are gone from the Earth, they couldn’t adapt. Gypsies got their “Bad Rap” because SOME Gypsies did not pay for things and caused damage to property in the past. I resent them passing as “Italians”!

    Why didnt the women know that the Grandfather was going to have this stroke if they are really psychic like they claim? None of them have made any predictions – or shown psychic ability.Also what was with the holes in Vals bedroom door??

    i can not believe how determined the men are to marry off an 18 year old BOY!!!!! The worst part is that they marry than cheat on their wives. I hope this young man sticks to his guns and NOT ALLOW his family to force him into marriage. I have just never seen a family who only cared about tradition and not the pain and harm caused to their children. Nothing about this group to be proud of by any means.

    This family is not Psychic they are just con artist making a living by conning people out of their money. How could anyone be proud of being crooks and thieves. believe me no one wants this group involved in their family, they have NOTHING good to offer EXCEPT Bobby Johns. He’s the one who can help his children to get a education and make a better life for their future.

    This show is ridiculous. They make Gypsies look disgraceful. I just watched this movie called ‘Searching for the 4th Nail.’ It actually gives you real information on the Rom culture and not just half information for syndicated entertainment. It’s really interesting, and actual reality, not scripted reality, just saying…

    I give the gypsies a lot of credit. First of all it seems these traditions have been for decades. There honest people with old fashion ways that they are Honoring there ancesters bielifs. There is good and bad in every race. I don’t agree with people talking down about the gypsies. It’s remarcarcy. People have a psychic gift, but I feel everyone is psychic. It’s called inthution. There life’s are interesting . I have did research on gypsies they originate from India,this is where the children are be married so young. There strong belif is Christ, it’s in the bible to get married with dalory ( money) as a form of respect to the mother n fathers parents! It’s not a bussiness selli g there children. People don’t talk bad there not bad people, talk n think before you judge..
