When Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend, Miss November 2010 Shera Bechard, moved into the Playboy mansion in June 2011, several of the residents owned dogs, and she decided she wanted to adopt a dog of her own. Shera adopted Willa at two months of age from a rescue, and from that day on, Willa has proven to be anything but the perfect dog. The little dog has acted aggressively and growled at almost everyone. Willa snaps at people who attempt to pick her up, and has bitten several people. Because there are people constantly coming and going from the mansion, Shera worries that if Willa’s behaviors aren’t addressed, she may end up biting someone important. And there is still another problem that Shera must face with Willa. Hef’s King Charles spaniel is constantly bullied by Willa when it comes time to feed the dogs. Willa dominates the food and attacks Charlie and then eats his portion. The only solution that anyone has come up with is to let Charlie eat on a chair, out of reach of Willa. Shera knows there is a sweet side to Willa, but her behaviors as they stand now could get Willa evicted!
When Miss February 2011, Heather Rae Young, moved in with her boyfriend, Josh Ryan, he owned two small breed dogs, Sebastian and Baxter. Heather had grown up around larger dogs, but she quickly fell in love with the smaller canines. Once she decided to adopt a dog of her own, Heather knew she needed to find a smaller breed, so she found Brandy, a Chihuahua. Brandy showed signs of aggression soon after going home with Heather. The little dog growls and will snap and bark at men, other dogs, and most worrisome, young children. Brandy is disobedient to Heather and has had no training since Heather rescued her. All the dogs listen to Josh, but Heather has had no luck getting through to them. Another problem with Brandy’s behavior is her attitude towards Layla, a Maltese that belongs to Heather’s best friend and fellow Playmate, Miss April 2011 Amy Leigh Andrews. The two dogs seem to be jealous of whatever attention the other is getting, which is a problem because Heather and Amy take care of one another’s dogs.
Miss September 2011, Tiffany Toth, had never owned a dog before adopting Marley with her husband Jeff Gray. Tiffany liked pugs, but she knew they had a reputation for being lazy, so when she heard about a litter of “Bugs,” a Boston terrier and pug crossbreed, Jeff and Tiffany went to see the puppies. Jeff liked one of the more friendly puppies, but Tiffany fell in love with a social outcast so they adopted him. Once they brought Marley home, it was apparent they had their hands full. They put him in the bathroom behind a baby gate and he commenced tearing the room apart. He chewed on the door and the molding, and even bit Jeff and Tiffany. Unfortunately, these bad habits didn’t abate as Marley got older. He continues to chew on everything, including furniture, and still has to be put in the bathroom at night. The biting is what concerns Jeff and Tiffany the most. Almost everyone who comes to the house gets nipped at, and they worry that it’s only a matter of time before Marley gets the wrong person.
