The wait is over!  After much deliberation, our judges Casey Anderson, Cole Rise and Cynthia Drescher have chosen a winner for our Untamed Americas Instagram Photo Contest.  It was no easy task, I assure you – each photo was more brilliant than the last.  But a decision had to be made and so we congratulate Kim A. Thomas (@kimathomas) on the winning photo, taken with her iPhone at sunset at Mount Tamalpais, California.

As one Instagrammer @brandylucille commented, “I want to eat that sunlight it’s so gorgeous.” We couldn’t agree more – truly a gorgeous reflection of the incredible landscapes that exist in our own backyards.  Even more impressive is the fact that this photo was taken without any fancy camera equipment – just an iPhone 4S.

We also have to congratulate Braedon Nutter (@braedonntx1313), our runner-up, for his photo featuring two sweet fawns.

Thanks again to all who entered – it was truly a pleasure viewing each and every photograph, and an inspiring reminder of the beauty throughout the Americas.
