Here at Nat Geo Channel, we’re big fans of Instagram – it’s a fantastic way to share photos from your mobile phone with your friends and community. We hope you’ve been enjoying the pics we’ve been sharing through @NatGeoChannels – now we want to see yours!
The Untamed Americas team spent more than two years in the field, traveling thousands of miles from Alaska to Patagonia, to capture the extreme wildlife of the continent. They did an incredible job (as you’ll soon see!) – now as fellow travelers, explorers and photographers, we want to see what “Untamed Americas” means to you. Submit photos of your “Untamed Americas” – some may be from your travels, others from your own backyard – for the chance to have your photo featured by National Geographic Channel and win some incredible prizes.
Entering is easy – just follow @natgeochannels on Instagram and submit your photo with the hashtag #UntamedAmericas between May 5, 2012 at midnight through June 18, 2012.
We’re excited to have three incredible judges who will be choosing the winning photo: wildlife naturalist and host of Nat Geo WILD’s America the Wild Casey Anderson; landscape photographer and Instagram artist extraordinaire Cole Rise; and Cynthia Drescher, editor of the pop culture travel guide Jaunted. We’ll be sharing more about each one of them later – until then go say hi! Butter ‘em up!
So what can you win? In addition to having your photo featured on our website, we’ve put together some sweet prizes to take along on your future travels including: a National Geographic camera bag filled with a Nikon D3100 SLR Digital Camera with 18-55mm VR & 55-200mm VR Lenses & basic kit, a Glif (a fantastic tool for iphoneography), a subscription to National Geographic Magazine, a National Geographic Channel Jacket, Hat, Water Bottle, Binoculars and Untamed Americas DVDs, and last but definitely not least, a limited edition signed print by Cole Rise.
