NGC ends the first broadcast quarter of 2012 up 10% in viewership, a fantastic way to start out 2012. Wild is even more amazing, one of the fastest growing networks in cable television, with an increase of 42% in the first quarter of this year. We’re excited as more viewers continue to find both of our channels – so thank you for continuing to view!
For this week, NGC’s top shows saw 2 one-time-only premieres finding their way into the top 5. Omens of the Apocalypse, which followed the story of the mysterious deaths of thousands of blackbirds in Arkansas in 2010 and 2011. Lucky Muckers is about a group of folks who search for historical relics along the Thames river – often in knee deep mud. Finally, Sunday afternoon, repeats of Witness specials reached the top 5 and our #1 show was the premiere of Wild Justice on Sunday night.
Wild’s top 5 saw some repetition, the amazing 3-hour Galapagos appeared twice – #1 and #3, the title pretty much describes the focus of the show. Dog Whisperer’s K-9 Behind Bars was so popular in prime on Saturday night, the late night viewing of it also appeared in the top 5. Since coming over to Wild, Cesar Milan’s show has been a great addition to our lineup and building a steady audience on Saturday nights.
