Vindictive Vincent

blog post photo

Name: Vincent

Breed: Shar-Pei

Age: 4 years old

ABOUT THE DOG:

Vincent came to owner David Cowley after a long line of Shar-Peis.  None of David’s dogs had been aggressive until Vincent.  Vincent’s dog aggression has been around almost since the beginning.

David enrolled the dog in obedience classes and boot camps to help tire the pup’s fighting instincts out, but Vincent’s thirst for blood is still at large.  Vincent even attacks David’s other Shar-Pei, Paris.  Vincent has even bitten David while being reprimanded for his uncouth behavior.

ABOUT THE OWNER:

David is a professional products painter – meaning that his company decorates key tags, note pads, pens, and “gimmicky things for the marketing industry.”
He has a long-time partner named Christine, who works in retail for the Australian men’s clothing chain Chapps.  Between them, they have three children: Rhett (18), Cassandra (17), and Summah (16).

BEHIND THE SCENES:

It rained the entire time that Cesar and his crew were in Brisbane.
On this particular day, it was a torrential downpour, but the rain stopped and the clouds parted just in time for Cesar to work with Vincent on the walk.  When they were done, it started raining again.

Don’t miss Vincent in the all-new episode of the Dog Whisperer, “Cesar in Oz,” this Friday 9P et/pt!

Hi, I live in Spain and also have a Shar Pei, she is a nightmare, we cannot do a thing with her or without her!
She barks in the car at the house at works at anyone who calls and will not stop. If she is in the car she is the same, when we fuel up she will not stop. we are frightened in case she bites someone when we go for a walk as she loves to nip you if she does no get her own way. we dont know what to do any ideas ???
    thanks Angie

Hi, I have never had a Shar Pei but I have always thought I would like one. I had a friend that had one and his was the same way barked all the time. I still don’t know if I am going to get one or not but they are so cute. Thanks Laura
